New FMC Rotary Cooker Delivery
Three of the four 52 foot long shells of the company’s new FMC (Food Machinery Corporation) rotary cooker were delivered today after a long cross country trip from California, with the fourth trailer expected on Tuesday. Zartman Construction is managing the installation and assembly of the new equipment with expected completion in early February. The cans will travel on a spiral track through each chamber of this new equipment, providing the necessary heat penetration to safely cook, sterilize and cool the products.
The new cooker will be used to process canned dry beans, peeled tomato, green beans and bean salads which are important items in the Furmano’s branded offering.
