1. No purchase is necessary.
2. Contest is void where prohibited by law. Subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations.
3. Enter as often as you like but only one entry may qualify as a winner.
4. Please use our website www.furmanos.com to enter each recipe separately. If you are unable to enter online, each entry must be mailed in a separate envelope with the recipe category printed on the outside.
5. Mail entries to: “Furmano’s Cinco De Mayo Recipe Contest” Furmano Foods, PO Box 500, Northumberland, PA 17857. 
6. Entries must be postmarked no later than July 1, 2008 and received by July 30, 2008 or received online no later than 12 midnight EST on June 30, 2008.
7. Entries will not be acknowledged or returned. Furmano’s will not be responsible for mutilated or misdirected mail or non-delivered entries.
8. All entries become property of Furmano’s. Entry constitutes permission to edit, modify, publish and otherwise use the recipe in any way without compensation. 
   

1. Recipe must be original. An original recipe is the product of one's own mind and is not a copy or imitation. If the recipe is derived from a previously published one, it must have at least four significant ingredients that are different, and the method of preparation changed, to qualify.
2. Recipe must not have been submitted to another contest, promotional event, or for publication at any time.
3. Recipe must use at least one can of Furmano’s tomato products or more and serve a minimum of four persons and follow a Mexican theme.
4. Recipe must be typed or legibly printed on an 8 1/2 x 11 inch paper or entered online. Ingredients must be listed in order of use and in exact, standard U. S. measurements.
5. Recipe must include: name of recipe, number of servings, your name, address, daytime telephone number and email address. Please give the store name and location where you shop for canned tomatoes. 
   
   

1. Contest is open only to residents where Furmano’s products are sold (East Coast) age 18 or older.
2. Professionals (such as chefs, home economists, anyone who has received career/professional/graduate culinary training or anyone who develops/creates recipes and/or food products for profit), directors and employees of Furmano’s, its affiliated companies, contest sponsors, their agencies and families are not eligible. 
   
   

Judging 

1. Recipes will be judged on taste, originality, ease of preparation and appearance.
2. Winning recipe will be selected by an independent judging committee of food professionals. Judges' decisions are final.
3. Judges will disqualify recipes, which to their knowledge, are previously published recipes or previous national recipe winners.
4. Judges will select one grand prize winner.
5. Winner will be selected on or about September 30, 2008, and notified by telephone. Letter of verification will follow in 10 days. Winner will be required to execute an affidavit of eligibility and release of liability.
6. For the name of the winner, send a stamped, self-addressed envelope after September 30, 2008, but before October 31, 2008, to “Furmano’s Cinco De Mayo 2008 Contest Winner” Furmano Foods, PO Box 500, Northumberland, PA 17857.
   
   

1. Prize is non-transferable and may not be redeemed for cash. No substitution of prize is allowed. Furmano’s reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal value or provide cash equivalent.
2. Applicable federal, state and local taxes on prize is the sole responsibility of the winner.
