Mexicali "Pal-I" Rice

Ingredients
  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 2 cups Instant White Rice
  • 2 cups Water
  • 3 5/8 cups Furmano's Petite Diced Tomato with Green Chilies
  • 1 7/8 cups Furmano's Tomato Sauce
  • 1 each Onion, Diced
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic, Minced
  • 1 tablespoon Chili Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Powdered Cumin
  • 3 ounces Stout Beer
  • 3 each Fresh Cilantro Leaves
Preparation
  1. In a large pan, brown and drain ground beef.
  2. Cook rice, drain, add to meat and stir.
  3. Add all other ingredients, except the cilantro leaves.
  4. Stir and simmer 20-30 minutes on medium/low.
  5. Pour into hearty bowls. Garnish with cilantro leaves and serve with crusty bread. Enjoy!
