Sandy's Italian Spaghetti Sauce

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup Onion, Finely Chopped
  • 2 teaspoons Garlic, Thinly Sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 12 ounces Tomato Paste
  • 3 1/2 cups Furmano's Italian Style Spaghetti Sauce
  • 1 5/6 cups Furmano's Italian Style Diced Tomatoes with Basil, Garlic & Oregano
  • 1 7/8 cups Furmano's Pizza Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 4 ounces Mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 each Bay Leaf
  • 1/2 cup Water
Preparation
  1. In a large pan on medium heat, add olive oil, then brown onion and garlic.
  2. Turn the pan up to medium-high; add tomato paste and brown.
  3. Add Furmano's Italian Style Spaghetti Sauce, Furmano's Italian Style Diced Tomatoes, Furmano's Pizza Sauce, sugar, mushrooms, the bay leaf and water.
  4. Simmer on low heat for 30 minutes.

Tip: If you prefer a meat sauce, add 1 pound ground beef, venison or meatballs to the sauce.
