Ingredients
1 pound Bucatini
2 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1/2 each Medium White Onion, Chopped
1/2 cup Bacon, Chopped
3 1/2 cups
Furmano's Crushed Tomatoes
1 tablespoon Grape Jelly
1 teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
As Needed Salt and Pepper
As Needed Parmesan Cheese, Grated
Preparation
Cook pasta al dente according to directions on package.
Put olive oil in heated skillet. Add the onion; cook until golden and translucent.
Add the bacon; saute for about 5 minutes.
Add Furmano's Crushed Tomatoes, jelly, and crushed red pepper.
Bring to boil, then reduce to simmer. Continue to cook for 1/2 hour.
After fifteen minutes, season with salt and pepper to taste.
Drain pasta, add it to the sauce and mix well.
Serve hot sprinkled with parmesan or Romano cheese.
