Ingredients
2 pound Fresh Mussels, Rinsed & Cleaned
3 1/2 cups
Furmano's Crushed Tomatoes
1 teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
1/2 cup Dry White Wine
1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
1 teaspoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Preparation
Cook mussels per directions.
Cook mussels in a steamer until all of them have opened.
Throw away half of the shells, retaining the halves that the mussels are attached to.
Meanwhile, in a pot, combine all ingredients and bring to boil; simmer until all surface liquid is gone.
Put steamed mussels, shell down, in a baking dish. Pour the sauce over all, covering the mussels completely.
Bake in pre-heated oven at 450 degrees until all sauce is bubbling.
Remove from oven and let sit for 3 minutes.
Serve with crusty bread that you can dip into sauce.
