In the summer of 1921, the Furmano’s family farm produced a bumper crop of tomatoes. The local merchants challenged them to bring their red ripe tomatoes back in the winter when they weren’t normally available. JW and Emma Furman met that challenge canning 360 jars in a copper kettle on their stove and launched the Furmano’s brand of tomatoes you know today.
Based in the fertile Susquehanna River Valley of Central Pennsylvania, our family company is now in its 4th generation of growing, harvesting and packing the best tomatoes. To learn more about our trusted family farms and growers, continue on.
