Preheat a large, non-stick saucepan over medium heat. Add chopped onions and bacon. Saute over medium heat for 4-6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until onions begin to turn transparent.
Add balsamic vinegar and stir to coat onions and bacon. Saute for an additional 1-3 minutes until onions begin to caramelize.
Add Furmano's Chunky Crushed Tomatoes with Basil, Garlic & Oregano, chicken broth, salt, grated Parmesan cheese, and cream. Stir well.
Continue to cook over medium heat for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
To serve, ladle into individual serving bowls. Top with Parmesan cheese, if desired.
