Furmano's Habanero Sauce



  • 3 1/2 cups Furmano's Crushed Tomatoes
  • 1 each Carrot, Chopped
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Garlic, Chopped
  • 3 each Celery Stalks, Chopped
  • 6 each Pickled Habanero Peppers
  • 2 teaspoons Sea Salt
  • 2 each Limes
  1. Under cold running water, remove seeds from the Habanero peppers.
  2. Squeeze the juice from the 2 limes into a blender, then add all ingredients. Blend all ingredients with setting on "blend" 2.
  3. Put mixture in large, wide pot; bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer, bubbling, until all loose liquid is gone from the surface.
  4. Test a very small amount for salt; add salt if necessary.
  5. Using a funnel, put sauce into hot-sauce bottles or other small bottles.
  6. Allow to cool, then store in the refrigerator.

Tip: Great for any use that any other hot sauce would be used for.
