Ingredients
12 ounces Clams, Chopped
2 tablespoons Olive Oil
1 1/2 teaspoons Garlic, Minced
1 teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
3 1/2 cups
Furmano's Crushed Tomatoes
2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley, Chopped
1 tablespoon Dried Oregano Leaves
1 tablespoon Fresh Ground Black Pepper
1/2 cup Dry White Wine
As Needed Salt
Preparation
Open clams; drain liquid through very fine sieve or fine cheesecloth; rinse clams to remove any grit.
Heat oil in large skillet or pot. Add garlic and red pepper flakes and saute about 3 minutes (Do not let garlic burn.)
Add remaining ingredients (add salt slowly and taste).
Bring to a boil, then lower heat and simmer until all surface liquid is gone.
Serve over cooked linguine.
