Meatball Sandwich Sauce



  • 2 each Small Red Skin Potatoes
  • 3 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 each Medium White Onion, Sliced Thin
  • 1 each Red Pepper, Sliced Thin
  • 1 7/8 cups Furmano's Pizza Sauce
  • 1 pound Meatballs, Cooked
  • 4 each Fresh Rolls
  1. Cut potatoes, leaving skin on, into 1/2" cubes; rinse and dry.
  2. In a heated skillet, put in oil and potato cubes - saute at medium-high heat until browned on all sides; remove.
  3. Add onions and peppers to skillet; saute until onions are golden and both onions and peppers are limp but still slightly firm.
  4. Return potatoes to skillet. Add Furmano's Pizza Sauce; simmer for 15 minutes.
  5. Mix meatballs into sauce mixture, then spoon onto fresh rolls.

Tip: Use this sauce for toppings on meatball sandwiches, Italian sausage sandwiches, and pizza.
