Spicy Pork Fajita Pizza

Ingredients
  • 12 ounces Chorizo Sausage, Casing Removed
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic, Rubbed Into Pulp
  • 3 5/8 cups Furmano's Petite Diced Tomatoes with Green Chilies
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato Paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Whole Oregano, Crushed
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 each Medium Onion, Sliced
  • 2 cups Bell Pepper, Sliced
  • 12 ounces Pizza Crust
  • 2 cups Roasted Pork, Diced
  • 2 cups Monterey Jack Cheese, Shredded
Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a large skillet, add the chorizo sausage and cook for 3 minutes over medium heat. Drain oil from sausage, then add the garlic and continue to cook for 3 more minutes.
  3. Drain any remaining oil and add the can of Furmano's Diced Tomatoes with Green Chilies and the juices, tomato paste, onion powder, oregano, cumin, and salt.
  4. Whisk mixture together and bring to a simmer over medium low heat; cook until thickened, about 15 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, place sliced onion and bell pepper in a microwave safe dish and cook for two minutes; set aside.
  6. Remove sauce from heat and ladle 1 1/2 cups over pizza crust.
  7. Arrange roasted pork, onions and peppers over sauce and sprinkle with cheese.
  8. Bake pizza for 15 minutes or until hot.
